Sunday resulted in a great day for Patrick O'Keeffe, as he qualified for the 70.3 World Championships to be held in Clearwater, Florida on November 8, 2008. Posting a time of 4:33 at the Rhode Island 70.3 earned him the spot. CONGRATULATIONS PAT!!! To view results, click here.

MUSSELMAN WEEKEND a GREAT SUCCESS for all T3 Athletes:
The Musselman weekend is filled with great racing. Saturday kicked off with a bunch competing in the "Mini-Musselman". Finishing second & third were Coach Kevin & Paul Fronhofer, respectively. Bridget Crossman also competed in her first triathlon of the season and finished 4th in her age-group! Competing in the ½ Ironman on Sunday were Bob Stocks, Jason Chlopecki, and Paul Briccoilli. They were punished with high winds which made the swim extremely wavy, the bike brutal, and then the rains came hard making the run chilly and wet. Nonetheless, these three braved the conditions and still put together great races. Bob Stocks improved on his place from last year, to finish 11th OVERALL!!! Click here to view results.

Coach Kevin on Overtraining

Recently Coach Kevin was interviewed by his local newspaper on the effects of running in triathlon and overtraining. Though a very difficult topic to discuss because of the individuality associated with triathlon, Kevin can some insight to his prespective on training the "run" portion. T3 athletes go 1-2 at the North Country Triathlon...

Kevin Crossman and Paul Fronhofer finished the NC Tri 1-2, respectively. For "Coach", this was his first win of his triathlon career. After having a great swim, he stayed out in front to hold onto the win. Paul, who is just returning to running after a 4-month foot injury had a great race to finish second. And now, a word from Kevin's athletes...

"I first talked to Kevin just a few weeks out from my first and only marathon. He hadn't taken me on as an athlete yet but his nutrition advice that he gave me...". Read the rest of this, and other, testimonials here...

BOB STOCKS claims an overall podium spot!

Though we can call him an endurance triathlete as he trains for Ironman Louisville, he recently made a push to be deemed a sprint triathlete. Competing at the 29th Annual Syracuse YMCA Sprint Triathlon, Bob took 3rd overall with a very impressive race. Congratulations BOB! Click here to see the full results...

Three T3 Athletes Claim Podiums Spots at MOOSEMAN, KEUKA TRIATHLON, and another wins Aqua Bike at EAGLEMAN!!!

June 8th was a very HOT day no matter where you were in the Northeast. T3 Athletes competed at the Mooseman, NH, Keuka Triathlon, NY, and the Eagleman, MD. The results were astonishing despite temperatures ranging from 95-100 degrees.

The largest contingency was out at the Mooseman with 9 athletes competing. Claiming podium finishes were Patrick Grasso (2nd, M19 & under). Then there were two 3rd place finishes by Mara Fronhofer (W40-44) and Michael Sorrentino (M19 & under). All the other T3 Athletes at the event had personal bests!

At the Keuka Triathlon, Jason Chlopecki & Bob Stocks had great races. Jason finished 2nd in the M30-34 age-group and even though Bob received a "overtaken" penalty, he still managed a 3rd place finish in the M40-44 age-group.

Down at the Eagleman, Patrick O’Keeffe and Paul Fronhofer put in very impressive races. Paul easily went on to win the aqua bike by 16 minutes with an amazing 24.9mph bike average for 56 miles!!! Patrick O’Keeffe had an amazing race going when the road temperatures of over 120 degrees got the better of him. Regardless he still managed a 4:53 ½ IM time.

Great job to all T3 Athletes who competed this past weekend. To view results of all them, please check out the results page.

HOT RESULTS for T3 Athletes at the Battenkill Roubaix - Paul Fronhofer wins Cat 5

All expected a warm April day in the Northeast, few expected temperatures to reach 85 degrees! The warm weather was nice for most, but others struggled with the heat & hydration and had to end their experience of the B-R early. Not having any problems tackling the hills, dirt & heat was Paul Fronhofer, who easily cruised to his first Cat 5 victory on his hometown course. All T3 athletes had great races and enjoyed a relaxing day on Sunday picnicing and reminiscing about the race. To see how all the T3 Athletes did, visit the results page.

The "Hi There" Movement

I'm sure this is a topic that may have been touched on many times before in sporting magazines or on forums/blogs, but it is something I feel strongly about that I wanted it on my webpage… Greeting others during exercise (or in general). I am going to share my anecdotal experiences with you in hopes that the next time you step outside to exercise you "say hello" to others. My goal - to start the "Hi there!" Movement.

I would love for you to share your "Hi there" experiences. Please email me at kevin@t3coaching.net to tell any story you may have in regards to this (put "Hi there" Movement in the subject). Click here to read more...

Congratulations to Paul Fronhofer

Paul Fronhofer recently competed in the 2007 Ironman World Championships in Kona. Paul did a phenomenal job in his first attempt at this high caliber event. With a finishing time 10:26, this earned him 503rd place out of 1800+ athletes, which included 100 professionals. Using his strength on the bike and his new sponsored Serotta Titantium, Paul’s split on the bike was the 95th overall fastest, averaging 22.7 mph!!!

In a phone conversation with Paul, he said he was “very happy with his race, and that he wasn’t tired or sore at the end. He was hoping to break 10 hours, but at mile 14 of the run he became extremely sick, forcing him to stop for a few minutes. Once he knew his chances of breaking 10 hours no longer existed, he enjoyed the rest of the race running at a comfortable pace.”

Way to go Paul!!!
